High Court County is an original Country and Roots Rock band from Southern Ontario that released their debut EP in 2017, featured on Country 107.3 with Randy Owen. Their follow up EP titled “Here We Go Again” was recently released featuring the song "Bonfire Friday Night" on all platforms. Like their debut, the songs embody the feel of Country, Blues and Americana. The lyrics have meaning, and often paint a vibrant picture that keeps you listening and toes tapping.
HCC came together through the miracles of Facebook in the fall of 2016. Arie Papernick (lead guitar) discovered Stephen Court's soulful vocals online from a local open mic. Together they reached out to Andrew Bennett for Bass whom brought in Brian Cruickshank on Drums. They all knew after the first jam that they had something special. With a long list of diverse playing credentials including rock star Sebastian Bach, to studying with many of Nashville’s greats, High Court County keeps audiences asking for more!
In addition to their originals, High Court County frequently covers Authentic and New Country hits along with favorite Roots Rock timeless classics. Famed Canadian group The Band continues to have a major influence on HCC’s sound and writing.
This past summer they performed numerous Ribfests, Georgetown Craft Beer festival, the Newmarket Music Festival as well as sharing the stage with Gord Bamford and Aaron Pritchett at the Boothill Jamboree.
Thanks to all the fans for the continued support. HCC would not exist without the fan support. They can't wait to play and write many more new songs and meet new fans.
